Earn your BSN at CSU SB
This is the most direct path into a career as a registered nurse (RN). Earn your associate in science degree in nursing (ADN) to become eligible to take the NCLEX-RN exam (required for state licensure).
These four semesters move your from nursing fundamentals to advanced medical surgical nursing. You learn theory, complete labs, and gain practical experience in clinical settings.
Your first step? Take your prerequisites at GWC so you’re ready to apply to the ADN program.
Earn both your ADN and bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) by co-enrolling at GWC and CSU San Bernardino (CSUSB). Every semester, you'll take the ADN courses at GWC and at least one BSN course from Cal State SB. After finishing your ADN, keep going for two semesters (6 classes or 17 units) at CSUSB to earn your BSN.
If you already hold a California Vocational Nurse license (LVN), you have two program options at GWC:
30-unit Certificate: Prepare for the RN licensure exam with two prerequisite classes (science) and seven nursing courses.
ADN: Earn your two-year degree with seven prerequisites classes (general education or basic science) plus seven nursing courses.
Take your prerequisites at GWC for the small classes, affordable cost, and seamless integration with your program.
Starting your ADN means taking six college classes—three general education plus three science foundation courses:
